Midlands Place Businesses Commit to Student Support with Schools Foundation

Our community is a better place thanks to community service efforts of local students. Their efforts were rewarded with $17,000 in post-secondary scholarships  from the businesses at Midlands Place and the Papillion-La Vista Schools Foundation.

Students applying for scholarships were asked to complete and write about a community service project. Participating businesses reviewed applications and selected winners based on community and school involvement and academic performance.

Tenants awarded scholarships to the following individuals:

Athletes' Training Center - Titus Nolting, Conestoga High School, and Sydney Marshburn, Papillion La Vista South High School
Fairfield Inn & Suites - Hayley Moulton, Papillion La Vista South High School
Le Petit Paris French Bakery - Hayley DeWitt, Papillion La Vista High School, and Gabrielle Tingstad, Papillion La Vista High School
Midlands Family Urgent Care - Derek McLaughlin, Bellevue West High School
Nebraska Realty - Claire Neil, Papillion La Vista High School
Ollie & Hobbes - Blake Rule, Papillion La Vista High School
PenFed Credit Union - Madison Duke, Papillion La Vista South High School
Premier Family Medicine - Annastasia Milton, Papillion La Vista South High School and Alexis Spaulding, Gross Catholic High School

Full STEAM Ahead at Patriot Elementary

Sixth grade students at Patriot Elementary had a blast participating in the pilot STEAM Enrichment Day. This cross-curriculum day of learning was a celebration of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. All projects are hands-on, giving students the chance to explore, problem solve, and flex their creativity.

Thanksgiving Hours 2017

Kids Club out-of-school day sites will be open November 22, 6:30 AM - 6:00 PM for pre-registered families. All sites and the Foundation office will be closed November 23-24 as we enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday.
