Midlands Place Businesses Commit to Student Support with Schools Foundation

The businesses of Midlands Place at 84th Street and Highway 370 in Papillion have pledged to support education with each tenant offering up to three scholarships for 2017 graduating high school seniors. A matching gift from the Papillion-La Vista Schools Foundation will give each scholarship a $1,000 value.

Business leaders at Midlands Place say they are dedicated to supporting local students through education opportunities and look forward to seeing the students’ success and watching the scholarship program grow. Each business will set the criteria for their own scholarship and applications will include a community service requirement.

Scholarship applications are due back to participating businesses by Tuesday, February 28. Students can pick up an application at their high school, or at any of the participating businesses:

“The Papillion-La Vista Schools Foundation pledges to connect great schools with a caring community,” says John Erickson, Papillion-La Vista Schools Foundation Executive Director. “This scholarship program with the Midlands Place businesses is the perfect example of that.”
