The Papillion-La Vista Schools Foundation tried a new event this month! Home for the Holidays took a limited number of guests on a bus tour of La Vista and Papillion establishments. Guests tried local beverages and sampled delicious food prepared by Chef Keith and the team at Shadow Lake Hy-Vee.

But this wasn't just an evening of fun - money raised from Home for the Holidays will provide a holiday meal for at least 30 families in need in Papillion La Vista Community Schools. The Papillion-La Vista Schools Foundation will work with school social workers, Kids Club directors, and other Papillion La Vista Community Schools staff to identify families in need. We hope the Hy-Vee turkey dinner with all the sides will bring some holiday cheer to families who might not otherwise have a hot meal for their family.

Thank you to all of the sponsors. These local companies aren't just fun places to visit, they truly care about our community. Another thank you to all of our guests who took a chance on a new event to help support families in need. We look forward to brining Home for the Holidays back in 2016!
