Dr. Donald Nix graduated from the University of Nebraska with a degree in chemistry before earning his DDS from the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry. After finishing his general practice residency, Dr. Nix entered a four-year oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. The first year of his program was dedicated to a residency in anesthesiology.

Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Nix began a private practice in oral and maxillofacial surgery in the Plano, Allen, and McKinney corridor, and has been faithfully serving this area for over thirty years. He is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons as well as the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology.

Dr. Nix has been involved with many medical mission trips (including Mexico, Russia, Panama, Guatemala, India and Uganda) where he cares for those needing dental care. In addition, Dr. Nix has served on the executive board for the Crisis Pregnancy Center and has volunteered for Habitat for Humanity. He actively supports the Wounded Warrior Project.
